Hubby, Chewbacca and I

I thought I would post a recent picture of my husband (David), my doggie (Chewbacca) and myself. My son David has a great new camera and he was kind enough to come over to our house and take the picture for us. My daughter Heather had asked for an updated picture of the two of us so that is the reason I asked him to do it. We posed sitting in the grass in our backyard with the pool in the far background.

Heather, Ryan and baby Harper will be coming to visit us next week from Hawaii and I plan on getting David, Brenda and Connor over at the same time so we can get a family photo of everyone. The last time we did a family photo little baby Harper wasn't born yet. As a matter of fact at the time we took our photos Heather was barely 6 weeks pregnant.

Maybe this time next year we will need another updated family photo if our family continues to grow. Wouldn't that be great!

My Little Fur Baby Chewbacca

Chewbacca is my little Brussels Griffon fur baby! I love that little guy so much. He has such a personality! He is sweet, playful, loveable, fiesty and lazy at the same time. He is also the world's best little snuggle bug! He is almost 7 years old now and I can't imagine how we got along all those years without him. We had always had large dogs and couldn't imagine ever owning a little dog.



My daughter originally bought him for her and her boyfriend when she was a Sophomore attending Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Her and her other 3 roommates had so much fun with him when he lived with them. They soon found out about his playful nature and how much mischief a little puppy can get into. But look at that little face! He originally came to stay with us for a few weeks when he was about 3 months old. My oh my how much work a little playful pup could be! But of course we totally fell in love with him and wanted to keep him for our own. We were so happy when our daughter decided that maybe it would be better if he lived at our house.



That expression is what we call his "Stink Eye". He gives us that sideways look with the big eyes when he doesn't want to do what we want him to do, or if perhaps he did something that he probably shouldn't have done!



This is what his face looks like when he has recently been groomed. I love his little monkey face and that beard! I can't tell you how many times he has gotten that beard soaking wet and dripped all over the just clean hard wood floors. He seems to know when the floor has just dried and it's primed for drip marks.



This is what he looks like when it is just about time to go and get him groomed again. We say he looks like a little teddy bear with a monkey face. He is such a good boy! He loves to go everywhere he can with us and enjoys meeting new people. He is so sweet natured around children and loves it when they stop to pet him. We call him our velcro-dog because where ever I am he's usually right next to me or if it's possible he'll be right between the two of us cuddling up close! Chewbacca or "Chewie" is my loyal lovable fur baby!
